The Pour House Bartending Academy ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website or enroll in a class, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our services, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only what we need to run our classes and serve you:
- Contact details — your name, email address, and phone number.
- Enrollment information — the class(es) you select, start dates, attendance, and any allergies, accessibility needs, or notes you share with us.
- Payment information — billing details needed to process your deposit and class fees. Payments are handled by Stripe; we do not see or store your full card number.
- Guardian-provided details for minors — for the Kids' Mocktail Class, a parent or guardian provides the child's first name and any relevant health or dietary information.
- Website usage data — basic, aggregated analytics such as pages visited and device type, collected via cookies as described below.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To process and confirm your enrollment and payment.
- To send class confirmations, reminders, schedule changes, and important service messages.
- To provide job-placement assistance (such as referrals) when you request it.
- To respond to your questions and provide customer support.
- To send marketing emails about classes, events, and promotions — only with your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email.
- To improve our website and services and to keep them secure.
3. Payment Processing
We use Stripe to process payments. When you pay, your card details are transmitted directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection and handled under Stripe's own security standards. We never store your full card number on our systems. Stripe's handling of your data is governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate — such as our payment processor, email/scheduling tools, and analytics provider — and only as needed to perform those services. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
5. Data Security & Retention
We store your information using reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law, after which we securely delete or anonymize it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Cookies & Analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working and to understand how visitors use it. Analytics data is aggregated and used to improve the experience. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as intended.
7. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of marketing. To make a request, email us at hello@thepourhouseacademy.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time without affecting essential service messages about classes you've enrolled in.
8. Children's Privacy
Our website and most classes are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. For the Kids' Mocktail Class, all of the child's information is provided and consented to by a parent or legal guardian, and we use it only to run the class. A guardian may review or request deletion of their child's information at any time by contacting us.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest revision. Significant changes will be reflected here, and your continued use of our services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
10. Contact Us
