San Diego's hands-on bartending school
The Pour House Bartending Academy trains bartenders behind a real working bar in Little Italy — fundamentals, craft mixology, and flair, plus private, corporate, and youth classes.
What we do
The Pour House Bartending Academy teaches people to bartend professionally. Courses run day, evening, and weekend in our Little Italy studio, where every class takes place behind a full working bar rather than in a classroom.
Programs cover Core Bartending, Craft Mixology, Flair Bartending, Kids' Mocktail Class. Each is taught in small groups by working bartenders, and every graduate receives a certificate, TIPS® / ServSafe Alcohol® preparation, and job-placement assistance with San Diego venues.
Behind a real bar, in small groups
Our courses are built around hands-on repetition. Students make drinks every session and leave able to work a bar from their first shift.
A real working bar
Every class is taught behind a full bar with real tools, ice, and glassware. Sessions are hands-on, not lectures.
Small classes
Classes are capped at 6–12 students so everyone gets reps and direct feedback.
Working flair
Flair training focuses on moves that hold up during a busy service — the ones that earn tips.
Job-ready support
Every graduate gets resume and interview prep, a reel, and referrals to San Diego venues we work with.
